Visit of Pastors Vitally and Nadezhda

20 October 2014 No Comment

Recently, Pastor Vitally visited Springfield, Ohio, and, although we only had a couple days together, we

bonded with him and his wife, Nadia. Their hearts were aching because of what is happening in Russia and

Ukraine, but, at the same time, they were joy-filled because they know the truth of the Gospel.

They shared childhood stories about the persecution their parents suffered under the Soviet Union, and

Nadia, with the tears in her eyes shared how, as a child, she was taken away from her family because they

were Christians and about her father’s many attempts to get her back. They see many signs of the return of

those dark times, but their experience tells them that the Church will overcome. They planted a church in

Siberia and another in Ukraine. After visiting us and other friends in the US, they fly directly to Ukraine to

visit and minister. Vitally also asked that we conduct discipleship training for their churches in both Russia

and Ukraine, so we discussed plans to do so and, if God allows, we will go on an extended trip to several

Siberian cities in May of 2015.
