Looking back on 2017 and forward to 2018 by Nadia Stagneeva.

2017 was blessed and full of miracles! It began with our ministry in orphanages as we presented a play. 250 people come out and each received a Christmas gift from our church.

We also started 2017 with a Bible class for those who wanted to be involved in church ministry. My husband, Sergey, trained ten people, and they began serving in the church immediately after they graduated. Every year, our team grows, and it is a great blessing because we have two daughter churches and those church-plants are growing!

In April we visited new friends in Texas and we were also able to reconnect with long-time friends in the US. Pastor Greg and his wonderful team treated us so well and blessed us greatly! Sister Sheila—who visited us in Russia previously—is such an inspiration for us.

While in the US, we visited NASA, and I received many revelations during that visit. One revelation is that it takes tremendous force and energy to launch just one small satellite into to space, and God’s work is very similar. It may seem small and even insignificant, yet it takes much energy and resources to bring it to its desired end. . . and it is totally worth it.

In June, we spent time in Bulgaria with some of our leadership team members. Though we took time to consider the future of our work, we also fellowshipped and had a time of rest.

In July, we held a family summer camp for 70 people and ten orphaned children that we hosted free of charge. The program was very meaningful as we spent 14 days on the banks of the river Luga, which winds its way through a beautiful pine forest. Such fellowship helps people get to know one another intimately, and it is good for body, soul and spirit.

In October, we celebrated the 21st anniversary of our church, and we are grateful that the Lord gives us the strength to serve Him. Last year, we established a prayer chain, and there is a rotation of people praying every day from 7am to 2am. We have nearly 50 intercessors taking turns praying.

At the beginning 2018, we performed a play for the residents of a local nursing home. We praise God that 69 people in the audience received Jesus as their Savior; 19 are bedridden. The next day, the nursing home contacted us to tell us that one of those elderly ladies who could not walk, began to walk and asked the nurse to take her outside for a walk. Praise the Lord!

Thank you for your prayer support! Continue to pray for us personally (to be able to improve our living situation) and for the growth of the ministry. We love and appreciate you.

Sincerely, Nadia Stagneeva.
