vasily2 (1)In the coming months, RRR will run a series of newsletters highlighting its wonderful history as we look forward to a bright future. For years, we have faithfully carried out the vision the Lord has placed before us. Specifically, over the last 20 years RRR has been laboring in St. Petersburg and its environs, helping the first generation of post-Soviet Russian pastors and churches. Several years ago, the Lord opened new doors and provided strategic connections with a number of influential churches and ministries all over Russia.

One particular open door is in Siberia. RRR has been invited to train and equip church planters and leaders belonging to a network of churches called Cornerstone, which is a uniquely Russian movement that started several years ago in the very heart of Siberia. Last year while ministering in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk, we met with one of Cornerstone’s leaders who oversees of their church-planting school. This school trains teams of church planters and sends them to various Russian cities heavily afflicted by the scourge of drugs. The task for each team is to start a drug-rehabilitation center that will eventually become a church plant with a core group former drug addicts who were set free from their addiction and who gave radically submitted themselves to the Lord in preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. The passion they exhibit is like a fire set ablaze by the Holy Spirit. In 2014, 90 such churches were planted by Cornerstone, and, this year the number of such new church plants reached 150.

These ministers have asked that RRR help equip these church-planting teams with discipleship training and ministry tools that they can use in their mission work. We hope to start working with them in 2016. I ask that you pray for this initiative and also consider helping to make our hope a reality by support RRR financially. I thank God for your heart.
