BACK TO SIBERIA! By Rick Ives
God willing, I travel to St. Petersburg, Russia in May and also to a major area in Siberia known as Kemerovo. We are taking a team of around 10 people and we will work with Russian Pastors and churches, and also we will do Discipleship and Leadership training for several hundred church leaders. This will be our 3rd venture in Siberia – a huge and wild area far far away! We are into our 25th year of working in Russia – the world’s greatest missions field – and yet the biggest doors of opportunity are still opening before us.
Would you please pray about a financial gift to RRR at this time? Your financial support helps Russian Pastors to get much needed dental work, health care, helps to start new churches and send out Russian missions teams to places like Africa and the Middle east, helps put food on tables of orphans, brings encouragement to prisoners and their families, and even enables pastors of many denominations to come together with us for training and encouragement. You are, or can be, a big part of what God is doing in Russia.
In 1993, when Heather and I lived in Russia, we helped to start a new church in a town called Kommunar (translated Communist Man). Today, 22 years later, that church is still going. Pastor Andrei Ziablitsev and his wife Svetlana pastor the church, and they have started several other churches in the area as well. Recently, Pastor Andrei was elevated by his “union” to be a Bishop I the St. Petersburg area where he is now able to have good influence in many churches. We are proud that when Andrei moved from the Ukraine to Russia many years ago, it was RRR who helped and trained him so he could go on to be a major player in the Russian Christian world today. Another RRR success story – thanks to God, thanks to your help. Thank you!
And since with the Lord we go from glory to glory, imagine the next 25 years in Russia! God Bless You – Rick and Heather.
