Report from Pastor Vladimir Osipov

I would like to share some news related to the partnership my church and missions school has with Russians Reaching Russians (RRR).
First, this summer, we graduated the 19th class of our missions school. The graduates were sent to a number of different regions throughout Russia to help churches and Christian rehabilitation centers for drug addicts, and some graduates were commissioned to go to Kaliningrad to reproduce the missions school in that region. Several ministers from our church have lain a foundation for such a school in Kaliningrad and we are …

Modern Day Book of Acts by Grant Edwards

In last month’s newsletter, we heard from Pastor Rick Ives, the founder of Russians Reaching Russians (RRR), as he shared a number of updates about his previous trip to Russia in May. This month, Pastor Grant Edwards shares some incredible stories from that same trip and they are reminiscent of the many accounts in the Book of Acts. God is a supernatural God, and we oftentimes relegate Him to logical categories that fit a materialist worldview. It is when we open our eyes and faith to God and His supernatural …

Travel Journal updates from the recent trip by Rick Ives

Travel Journal updates from the recent trip
We just had a small team of three Americans return from a trip to Russia. The team consisted of Pastor Grant Edwards, Pastor Rick Ives and Rick’s wife and ministry partner Heather. It was a long, intense ministry trip with non-stop events and meetings with leaders every day for almost two weeks. Several times, Pastor Rick emailed short updates to us to let us know what’s was going on and how we could pray for them. These e-mails helped us to be in the loop and pray accordingly. Some of these e-mails are below and  I hope …

Reflections by Sheila Noel

When Rick and Heather Ives visited our church last May, Rick mentioned that they were headed to Russia in November. I asked for details and the rest, as they say, is history. My friend Brenda and I began our quest to go on a missions trip to Russia with the ministry of Russian Reaching Russians (RRR).
We weren’t sure what to expect. Neither of us had been on a mission trip nor had either of us been to Russia. We were excited and nervous yet confident that our Lord would use …

White Nights in Siberia! by Rick Ives

I recently returned from two weeks in Russia, spending time in both Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk, which is the third largest city in Russia with a population that exceeds one million.
In spite of what we often hear about Siberia, I saw no prisons, the weather was 75-80 degrees and beautiful, and the sun shone for almost 20 hours per day (White Nights). Though the weather in Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk was beautiful, even more beautiful was the work of the Lord we witnessed and conducted.
RRR is celebrating 25 years in …

Friendly Stranger from Facebook by Denis Kozlov

Several months ago, when checking my Face Book account, I began noticing comments under my posts from a man that I did not recognize. His comments were positive and friendly, so
I went to his page hoping to understand how I might know him. Though I did not recognize him, I noticed we had some friends in common, but I still could not place him. I decided to write him directly to ask him to refresh my memory about how we met. It turned out that we never met in person. He stated …

Brief Update by Denis Kozlov

In January we had a small team of ministers from the US coming to Russia and holding two seminars on practical biblical discipleship and counseling in two different churches. Also, we had a strategic meetings with some of the key Christian leaders here to pray, talk and plan for a long term development of biblical counseling and discipleship center in Russia that would be able to help individuals and couples and train both laymen and ministers to equip them with the skills, principles and materials to operate effectively in counseling …

How Great is Our God by Lauren Gingrich

Going to Russia was my first missions’ trip out of the states and for my first trip out of the United States I could not have asked for a better trip!! Russia was an answer to prayers. Before I went on the trip I was extremely nervous and had no idea what to expect. I told myself that I was not going to go on this trip with an agenda that I was going to go and just see how God wanted to use me. My only goal was to experience all I could …

Coincidence? Yeah, right! By Denis Kozlov

As usual, I accompanied my American friends when they came to Russia. My job is to interpret and make sure they have everything they need (hotels, interpreters, transportation). Serving a
very diverse group of Christians can be tiring and challenging at times, but also rewarding. The Lord has been faithful to bless each trip and gives us evidence we are doing His will.

This winter’s trip was outstanding and abounding in the blessings of the Lord. It was a joy to have a team of prayer warriors with willing hearts to …

We Greet You With The Birth Of Christ by Rick Ives

Merry Christmas to you all, or, as we say in Russia – S DNIOM ROZHDENYA EESOOSA CHRISTA (I GREET YOU WITH THE BIRTH OF CHRIST).
We had a team recently return from Russia, which included my wife Heather. I stayed home and took my daughter Anastasia hiking for a week in the hills of Kentucky. We had a wonderful time. So did Heather and the team of 11 who were in Russia.
We hope you enjoy the photo enclosed of the Ives’ family. We have been sending these photos each year since …
